TAKE CHARGE – stand up for Canadian energy – Feb 2nd

On Saturday February 2, 2008, when communities across Canada face some of the coldest temperatures of the year, you can stand up for Canadian energy strategy by learning more about the BC government’s selling off of our rivers to private power companies to generate electricity that we don’t even need. Hear expert speakers and learn what you can to do stop so-called ‘green’  run-of-river projects from damaging our pristine wilderness.

Events are taking place in Duncan, Golden, Kamloops, Kelowna, Nelson, Pemberton, Powell River, Surrey, Vancouver and Victoria. See below for full event details.

Education and RALLY! Bill  Tieleman (political commentator), Joe Foy (Western Canada Wilderness Committee),  Shane Simpson, MLA, Tom Rankin (Save Our Rivers Society), music and theatre as well as information and take action pieces!
