On Saturday, between leafleting at Champlain Heights and door-knocking in Mount Pleasant, I ate lunch with a COPE campaign staffer who was trying to keep connected with her kids while working full-bore on the campaign. I saw other staff and volunteers who were bringing their families with them to the campaign office (and sometimes even putting them to work!). My husband decided to wait until I got home to eat dinner with me, even though it meant eating at 9 PM because I was out door-knocking well after dark.
So a big thank-you to all of the family members who have been so patient and supportive of COPE candidates, campaign staff, and volunteers. Your support means a lot as we go all out during the last week of the campaign!
