Marcus is a working playwright, director and community educator whose plays are on university drama curricula across the country, are published by Talon books, and have been produced from Victoria to Halifax, and from Galiano Island to Venice and the Czech Republic. He co-directs Neworld Theatre, which uses live performance to provoke engagement with political and social issues largely ignored or sanitized by the mainstream media (e.g., My Name is Rachel Corrie). Marcus also runs arts/writing programs with a wide range of activist and community based organizations. He is honoured to be on the Executive of COPE.
