COPE Nominating Conference this Sunday

COPE’s 2008 Nominating Conference
will be at 2:30 pm on Sun, Sept 28, 2008 at the Ukrainian Auditorium at 154
East 10 Ave, Vancouver.

At the Nominating Conference COPE
members will choose candidates for the November 15 civic election.

All COPE members, who are in good
standing on or before August 14, 2008, will be eligible to vote at the
Nominating Conference, to seek a COPE nomination, or to nominate a candidate
seeking a nomination. All candidates seeking a nomination will be asked to sign
a COPE candidate agreement.

Obama vs McCain
debate at Cedar Cottage Pub

Join your fellow COPEsters this Friday evening and watch the
Obama and McCain duke it out in the US presidential debate at Cedar
Cottage Neighbourhood Pub.

A special recognition for the person who correctly guesses
how many times they utter the word "change"!

Community Hall, some 400 COPE members reviewed and overwhelmingly ratified the
recommended cooperative election agreement with Vision Vancouver and the civic
Green party. Now we need your help again.
