The Coalition of Progressive Electors is developing its 2014 election platform by reaching out for policy proposals from groups and residents across the city. COPE has launched an online tool allowing anyone to submit policy proposals.

COPE members will vote to approve the party’s election platform on March 30th, 2014.

“Unlike other parties, our organization is one in which our members make all the decisions, including our policy and platform. We’re already getting people pushing us to develop municipal rent controls, and lower transit fares,” said COPE’s Executive Director Sean Antrim.

Vancouver residents and organizations are encouraged to submit policy proposals. They will be further developed and voted on at COPE’s Policy Conference by the COPE membership, taking place on March 29th and 30th.

Policy proposals can be submitted by individuals or organizations using the online tool on COPE’s website https://cope.bc.ca/policy/submit-policy/, or by mail, or email to cope@cope.bc.ca.
