Meeting Called to Order 2pm Adjourns 4:30 pm

Registration begins at 1pm

Location is Holy Trinity Anglican Church 1440 West 12th Ave. (1 Block East of Granville)

Agenda will include Annual Reports, Executive Elections and Policy Resolutions

Executive positions to be elected are as follows:

Co-Chair – Term is for Two Years

Co-Chair – Remaining Term is for One Year

Please note that Co-Chairs must be of different genders

Treasurer – Term is for Two Years

Corresponding Secretary – Term is for Two Years

Recording Secretary – Remaining Term is for One Year

Five Members at Large – Terms are for Two Years

In order to stand for election, candidates must be COPE Members in good standing for 30 days prior to the meeting.

(Guests and New Members are welcome to attend but only Members in good standing will receive a ballot package.)

The following information on Executive roles may help you decide if this is a role for you.

a) COPE has two Co-Chairs of different genders who are the chief executive officers of the Society and the principal spokespersons of the Society. They chair all Society meetings and supervise the internal affairs of the organization.

b) The Recording Secretary keeps minutes of all meetings

c) The Corresponding Secretary shall be responsible for receipt of, responding to and dealing with all correspondence received by the organization

d) The Treasurer keeps all financial records in accordance with the Society Act, renders financial statements to the Executive and members as required and is a member of the finance committee.

Members at Large have no specific Table Officer responsibilities but are encouraged to be active at the committee level and in common with Table Officers must attend a minimum of seven executive meetings per year and at least three General Meetings.
