Elect the Executive and Adopt our 2014 Platform!

At this meeting, we will elect the following positions to our Executive board:

• Co-Chair (currently Tim Louis)                    
• Co-Chair (currently vacant)
• Recording Secretary (currently Maria Wallstam)
• Membership Secretary (currently Gretchen Dulmage)
• Fundraiser (currently Maureen Bourke)
• Member-at-Large (currently Ifny Lachance)
• Member-at-large (currently Anita Romaniuk)
• Member-at-Large (new position)
• Member-at-Large (new position)
• Member-at-Large (new position)
• Member-at-Large (new position)

Please note: Changes in our By-Laws made at the March 29th-30th Policy Conference mean that: 
• The two Co-chairs must be of different self-identified genders.
• Four additional Member-at-large positions have been added to the Executive.
• Five "Equity Caucuses" made up of Indigenous, Differently Abled, Racialized, LGBQPP2S, and TTI respectively, will also meet before the meeting to select representatives to the Executive.

To run, you must be a member in good standing, and be nominated by another member in good standing from the floor of the meeting. For more information about Executive Elections, see section Part 6 of our By-laws.

We will also vote on some motions to changes to our By-laws and adopt policy (download them here). To vote at the meeting, members must be a member of COPE no less than 30 days before the meeting date, or by June 5th, 2014.

If you would like to put forward a regular motion (to adopt new policy, for example) we appreciate some advance notice to make sure that there is ample time scheduled and that members are informed. Please contact staff at or call us at 604-255-0400.
