Minimum wage petition event
Saturday, Oct. 20
9:45 am to 12 noon
W. Hastings, Vancouver
Come and take part in the next petitioning event for the B.C. Federation of Labour’s $10 NOW campaign Sat. Oct. 20 when we join leaders from the Public Service Alliance of Canada (PSAC) to petition in downtown Vancouver.
It’s an important event because we’re trying to get as many petition signatures as we can before Nov. 1—which will be the sixth anniversary of the last time B.C.’s minimum wage was increased.
The event is being organized in conjunction with a PSAC leadership training conference. It’s designed to link PSAC leaders with activists who’ve been part of the minimum wage campaign and share skills.
WHAT: Minimum wage petition event in downtown Vancouver
WHEN: Sat. Oct. 20, meet at 9:45 a.m. petition to the noon hour
WHERE: Meet at Renaissance Hotel 1133 West Hastings, Port of the World room,
then disperse to various downtown petition locations
PSAC will also host a lunch for all volunteers back at the Renaissance Hotel. And we’ll have a premium for all those who take part.
