Tonight, at the Vancouver Board of Education (VBE) meeting, COPE trustee Jane Bouey will move a motion as Chair of the Education and Student Services Committee formally asking the board to sign onto the BC Poverty Reduction Strategy.
COPE calls on COV to endorse national housing program
COPE city councillor Ellen Woodsworth will introduce a motion at Vancouver City Council tomorrow calling on the federal government to endorse a national housing program. Bill C-304, a private members bill initiated by Vancouver East MP Libby Davies, is currently before the House of Commons.
