ELECT FOR CITY COUNCIL
Tim Louis is a practicing lawyer in Vancouver since 1984, and former Vancouver City Councillor from 1999-2005. He also served on the Vancouver Park Board from 1990-1996. Louis is also the co-founder of HandyDart, the BC Coalition of People with Disabilities, and the BC Public Interest Advocacy Center.
Louis has an almost legendary history of fighting for Vancouver’s most marginalized through is years of public service and advocacy work. For him, it’s what being a Vancouver City Councillor is all about. “Local government is in a lof of ways the most important level of government,” says Louis. “It’s what impacts us everyday. From transit and roads, to affordable housing and poverty. Everything is local, and we need strong voices on Council that get that. It’s the only way we can build a Vancouver for everyone.”
