COPE Recognition Gala and Masquerade Ball

On Saturday, March 31st, COPE is bringing back our Gala event for a second year and celebrating in style with a masquerade ball at the amazing Museum of Vancouver. This is a chance for you to dress up and spend a wonderful evening with fellow COPE supporters, elected officials and leaders of Vancouver's labour and political community.

The focus of this year’s Gala will be recognizing and thanking Al Blakey, Jane Bouey, David Cadman, Loretta Woodcock, and Ellen Woodsworth for their many years of representing COPE on City Council, Park Board, and School Board, for being at the very heart of our progressive movement, and for their service to the city. It’s also a follow up to last year's amazing and successful Gala and Masquerade Ball!

Many people across the city want to celebrate our five honourees so we have pushed back the date to Saturday, March 31st at 7:00PM and it will now be held at Museum of Vancouver - 1100 Chestnut Street (if you braved the snow to attend last year’s gala you will remember what a beautiful venue it was!).

Just like last year, the evening will feature great west coast inspired food, a judging panel of the best masks, and a live jazz performance.

There's even better news! This year tickets are only $45 each! And if you're a student, youth, or on a fixed income there are tickets available for $35. They're available right here:

Tickets can also be purchased directly from COPE via email or phone: cope@cope.bc.ca or 604-255-0400.

We also wanted to give you a chance prior to the gala to submit personal thank-yous to Al, Jane, David, Loretta and Ellen. Please email Alvin at alvin@cope.bc.ca to submit your thoughts and photos, and we will include them in a special presentation at the Gala.

COPE needs your support now more than ever to ensure our voice continues to be heard, as we work with communities across the city to build a Vancouver for Everyone.

For more information about this event, please contact Alvin Singh at alvin@cope.bc.ca or 604-255-0400.

Thank you for your support.
