Aaron EddieAfter completing a Hons. B.A. in Urban /Social Geography at McMaster University, Aaron moved to Vancouver in 2002.

Once here he got involved with PIVOT Legal Society and began distributing ‘Rights Cards’ throughout the Downtown Eastside, educating those in the neighbourhood about their protected Charter rights. He was also a volunteer observer for PIVOT at the Woodwards Squat, when community activists occupied the then abandoned Woodwards building demanding that it be used for social housing.

In 2003 when Insite opened, Aaron had the opportunity to work for the B.C. Centre for Excellence in HIV/AIDS and run their DTES research office, which evaluated the effectiveness of Insite.

Since leaving this post Aaron has interned at PIVOT Legal Society and was an integral part of their Red Tent Campaign during the 2010 Winter Olympics.
