COPE BBQ sold out, in memory of John Church, coming up at council this week

COPE’s annual summer solstice BBQ sold out

 

Tonight’s event is sold out for dinner, although supporters are welcome to come for the entertainment after 8pm by-donation. For those who have pre-purchased tickets, doors are at 6:30 and dinner is served at 7:00. We look forward to seeing you!

John Church was a teacher, writer, curriculum developer, COPE School Trustee and strong supporter of public education.
 
He earned a BA in History and after teacher training took a Master of Arts degree in History.  He taught at elementary and secondary schools in Prince Rupert, Langley and Vancouver where he was Social Studies Department Head for ten years at Gladstone Secondary.
 

Councilor Woodsworth brings motion on an independent office to engage with the public
