Alvin Singh has been advocating for community and youth issues for more than 7 years. In 2001 he helped found a student lobby group that campaigned for earthquake-proofing of Vancouver’s
schools. More recently, Alvin has helped craft social policy for various departments of the Government of Canada. In the 2008 municipal election, Alvin ran a strong campaign with COPE for school board trustee, winning praise from the Georgia Straight and community leaders.
